2008
Where It Started
Eyes and Shades Optical Clinic
Founded by husband and wife team Dr. Cherry Lopez (optometrist) and Engr. Mike Lopez (clinic manager), the clinic opened on the second floor of Bridgelink Limketkai Mall.
The inspiration came from Mike's personal experience, which revealed the importance of accurate and thorough eye examinations — motivating the couple to build a clinic centered on precision, trust, and genuine care.
2008–2020
Growing Trust
Expanding by Grace
As patient trust grew, the clinic expanded and moved to the first floor beside Handyman. During the COVID pandemic, the clinic transferred to the West Concourse beside Samsung — its third location and the beginning of broader services.
2020+
New Chapter
Pediatric Vision & Beyond
With the involvement of their daughter, Dr. Mikaela Lopez, who pursued further studies, the clinic expanded into pediatric vision assessment and vision therapy.
As more children benefited from these services, the clinic recognized the growing need to focus on early detection, visual development, and long-term eye health.
